Thank you for this information. However I see that most of the programs offer cars to people who need help getting to work. My problem is this: I know of a family vey near and dear to ny heart. They live in Connecticut, and they don't have a reliable car. The husband is on his third bout of Chemo and has to be driven 30 miles one way at least twice a month to receive his chemo injections. This is his fourth fight against cancer(brain tumors). His wife doesn't work, as she stays home to take care of him. The only income they have is SS disability. Are there any programs that can help them out? Thank you.
